Compilation of Accounts

John Harrison Accounting compiles special purpose financial reports for individuals, trusts companies, partnerships and superannuation funds in accordance with APES 315: Compilation of Financial Information. These special purpose financial reports comprise Profit and Loss Statements and Balance Sheets.

The specific purpose for which the special purpose financial reports are prepared will be set out in the notes to the associated reports.  The extent to which Australian Accounting Standards and other mandatory professional reporting requirements will or will not have not been adopted in the preparation of these special purpose financial report is also set out in the notes.

You, the client, are solely responsible for the information contained in the special purpose financial report and will determine that the accounting policies used are consistent with your accounts preparation requirements.

Our procedures use accounting expertise to collect, classify and summarise the financial information, which you, the client provided into a financial report.  Our procedures do not include verification or validation procedures.  No audit or review is performed unless specifically asked for and accordingly no assurance is expressed.

To the extent permitted by law, we do not accept liability for any loss or damage which any person, other than you the client, may suffer arising from any negligence on our part.  No person should rely on the special purpose financial report without having an audit conducted.

Special purpose financial reports are prepared for the benefit of you, the client and the purpose identified above.  We do not accept responsibility to any other person for the contents of the special purpose financial report.

We undertake accounting work on the basis of a compilation report which will accompany your special purpose fianncial report similar to the examples below.

We ask you to confirm this understanding.

1 Individuals

On the basis of the information provided by [insert name of client], we have compiled, in accordance with APES 315: Compilation of Financial Information the special purpose financial report of [insert name of client] for the period ended 30 June 2006, comprising the attached Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet.

2  Partnerships

On the basis of the information provided by the Partners of [insert name of partnership], we have compiled, in accordance with APES 315: Compilation of Financial Information the special purpose financial report of [insert name of partnership] for the period ended 30 June 2005, comprising the attached Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet.

The specific purpose for which the special purpose financial report has been prepared is set out in Note 1.  The extent to which Australian Accounting Standards and other mandatory professional reporting requirements have or have not been adopted in the preparation of the special purpose financial report is also set out in Note 1.

The Partners are solely responsible for the information contained in the special purpose financial report and have determined that the accounting policies used are consistent with their accounts preparation requirements.

Our procedures use accounting expertise to collect, classify and summarise the financial information, which the Partners' provided into a financial report.  Our procedures do not include verification or validation procedures.  No audit or review has been performed and accordingly no assurance is expressed.

To the extent permitted by law, we do not accept liability for any loss or damage which any person, other than the Partnership, may suffer arising from any negligence on our part.  No person should rely on the special purpose financial report without having an audit or review conducted.

The special purpose financial report was prepared for the benefit of the Partners and the purpose identified above.  We do not accept responsibility to any other person for the contents of the special purpose financial report.

2 Trusts

On the basis of the information provided by the Trustees of the [insert name of trust], we have compiled, in accordance with APES 315: Compilation of Financial Information the special purpose financial report of [insert name of trust] for the period ended 30 June 2006, comprising the attached Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet.

The specific purpose for which the special purpose financial report has been prepared is set out in Note 1.  The extent to which Australian Accounting Standards and other mandatory professional reporting requirements have or have not been adopted in the preparation of the special purpose financial report is also set out in Note 1.

The Trustees are solely responsible for the information contained in the special purpose financial report and have determined that the accounting policies used are consistent with the financial reporting requirements of the Trust's constitution and are appropriate to meet the needs of the Trustees for the purpose of meeting their requirements under the Trust Deed.

Our procedures use accounting expertise to collect, classify and summarise the financial information which the Trustees provided into a financial report.  Our procedures do not include verification or validation procedures.  No audit or review has been performed and accordingly no assurance is expressed.

To the extent permitted by law, we do not accept liability for any loss or damage which any person, other than the Trustees may suffer arising from any negligence on our part.  No person should rely on the special purpose financial report without having an audit or review conducted.

The special purpose financial report was prepared for the benefit of the Trustees, Unitholders and for the purpose identified above.  We do not accept responsibility to any other person for the contents of the special purpose financial report.

3 Companies

On the basis of the information provided by the directors of [insert name of company], we have compiled, in accordance with APES 315: Compilation of Financial Information the special purpose financial report of [insert name of company] for the period ended 30 June 2006, comprising the attached Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet.

4 Superannuation Funds

The Trustees are solely responsible for the information contained in the special purpose financial report and have determined that the accounting policies used are appropriate to meet the needs of the Members.

Our procedures use accounting expertise to collect, classify and summarise the financial information, which the Trustees provided into a financial report. Our procedures do not include verification or validation procedures. No audit or review has been performed and accordingly no assurance is expressed.

To the extent permitted by law, we do not accept liability for any loss or damage which any person, other than the Fund, may suffer arising from any negligence on our part. No person should rely on the special purpose financial report without having an audit or review conducted.

The special purpose financial report was prepared for the benefit of the Trustees and members of the Fund and the purpose identified above. We do not accept responsibility to any other person for the contents of the special purpose financial report.
